Vegetarian Pizza





Yield: 3-4 medium pizza



Dough recipe

500 g plain flour
1 tbsp yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp milk powder or cup of yogurt ( for soft dough)
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried basil or oregano
Warm water

Instructions:


In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together and add warm water until you get soft dough

place in a clean bowl cover with cling film and keep in warm place for 2 hours ,till the dough has doubled in size

Roll out on a floured surface to fit the  baking tray you have. Sprinkle oil over the tray, then place the dough on top.

Tomato sauce ingredients

2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp basil
1 tbsp tomato paste
Tomato sauce
Lemon juice
Salt
Black pepper
1 tbsp sunflower oil

Instructions:

In a pan saute the garlic with oil then add the tomato sauce and tomato paste and stir until smooth


  1. Add remaining ingredients and bring to slow simmer for about 8 to 10 min
  2. Ready to spread on the pizza
Topping:

Grated Mozzarella & cheddar cheese
Green pepper tin sliced
Onion thin sliced
Green olives
Black olives
Mushroom

Preheat the oven 200c , place the pizza for about 15 min

Fillo Pastry with minced beef









Filo Pastry Sheet 500G ( about 14 sheets)
Serves: 4 to 5
Method: oven

Ingredients:

500g minced beef 
1 medium minced onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspices
Mozzarella cheese (optional)
salt 
pepper
Melted butter or oil ( can mix butter with oil)
1 cup of milk
1 egg

Instructions:

Take out of the fridge about 20 minutes before using.. 
To avoid drying out, filo pastry must always be kept wrapped before use.
Saute the onion and garlic in saucepan with 1 tbsp butter 

Add the minced beef and season wit salt, pepper,allspices and nutmeg,cover until cooked.

Prepare a large oven pan and sprinkle with melted butter

Cover the pan with two filo sheets and sprinkle butter and repeat till finish half the sheets then the spread the minced  beef on top of the filo sheets and continue adding the remaining sheets. 

Mix the cup of milk with the egg and season with salt and pepper

Add this mixture on top of the filo pastry.

cut the filo into  pieces with a sharp knife before baking.

preheat the oven 200C and place the the filo until it absorb all the liquid and golden colored.
